Female David Takes Down Female Goliath
Many are familiar with the OT story of David versus Goliath. The story is based on the Israelite army facing the Philistine army. Goliath was a very large Philistine champion. Some believe Goliath was 9 feet tall. That may be a stretch [no pun intended] but if Goliath was the size of the former NBA player Shaq O’Neal [7’1″ and 315 lbs] he would have been much bigger than any Israelite soldier. At time, it is estimated the average Israelite soldier ranged from five feet to five and three inches. For forty days Goliath challenged and taunted the Israelites to send a champion to face him in mortal combat. Valuing their heads and other parts of their body, all the soldiers respectfully declined. Then a young teenage shepherd boy, David, accepted the challenge. See David Goliath laughed but young David was inspired by his belief in his God [Yahweh]. Using only a sling and smooth stone David hit Goliath in the forehead knocking him out. David then took Goliath’s sword and cut off his head. The now inspired Israelites routed the shocked Philistines.
The slaying of Goliath gave a David a “head” start towards becoming the greatest king of Israel. Goliath went from hero and champion to the big guy who was hit in the head by rock and had his head cut off. The story of a small “guy” taking on a giant has been inspirational for years.
Right now there is a new story of a female teenage David taking on and taking down a female Goliath. The female Goliath is Megan Kelly who has made millions making controversial statements first on Fox News then NBC. [Note, Fox has said in a court case it is an entertainment not news.] Obviously Fox is not a news station, I don’t think it is entertainment either. And Kelly is not a source of information or entertainment in my estimation. She was fired from NBC and paid $30 million to not work for them anymore. Think about how bad you have to be at your job to paid $30 million not to do it.
Recently Kelly said something to the effect that Epstein and his friends were not pedophiles because they were into 15-year old girls not 8 year old girls. No Megan, you are completely and totally wrong. A man who likes 15 year girls is a pedophile. I suspect she was trying to defend Trump for not being pedophile by his association with Epstein. No, they are both pedophiles. Under federal law, anyone under age 18 is not an adult.
The female is young 14 year old who goes by Eloise. She verbally slays Megan/Goliath just as young David did to Goliath over 3,000 years ago. If you have not watched it, here it is Eloise vs Megan Kelly. With the permission and support of her mother, one of the reasons our young Eloise/David made the video was to speak truth when adults would not do so and also protect other young teenagers against predators. And make no mistake about it, when a wealthy women supports a predator, then the woman is also a predator. It is not a teenager’s job to hold adults accountable but she did so.
I have watched the video several times and have ended up with two emotions. The first emotion is deep sadness. When morally corrupt adults support pedophiles over children we are on the edge of total moral bankruptcy as a country. If Kelly ever had a moral compass, she gave it up a long time ago for money.
The second emotion is optimism. Though it should not be up to a 14-year old girl to stand up for other children and explain the difference between right and wrong, I am optimistic there is one and I guessing there are many many more teenagers throughout the country who feel the way. As they vote in future years, they will remember Kelly and those like her made excuses for pedophiles. And once they start they will be voting for a long time.
After slaying Goliath, David eventually became Israel’s greatest king and his line continued for generations which included Jesus of Nazareth. It is my optimistic hope that this generation which contains teenagers like Eloise who are not afraid to take on white wealthy millionaires like Kelly and will hopefully lead this country away from our morale bankruptcy.
[Note: The story of David vs Goliath was handed down for 200-400 years thru oral tradition until it was finally written down in 1 Samuel. If you do not think this is important for accuracy, gather a group of 20 in a circle and write down an short story. Starting with one person have each person whisper the story to the next person to the right until it has gone the full circle and have the last person now say the story out load. Then compare the the original story to the end story. Most often there is some similarities but also some significant differences. Once you understand this, you understand oral tradition.]
