You Can’t Fix Stupid, But Don’t Vote For It

I’ve observed stupid in all levels of society, business, non-profits, and all levels of government. But the amount of stupidity by MAGA Republicans done on a regular basis is stunning.

A 6-year old with a lemonade stand knew that tariffs were bad economic policy, but MAGA Republicans did not. In 2025 it is estimated tariffs cost American households of $1,700 or more. In 2026 tariffs are estimated to cost an average of $2,500 per household. Stupid.

Trump may or may not be a pedofile but it clear he associated with pedofiles and his cabinet is protecting him by not releasing the files. Stupid, un-American and un-Christian.

We start war with Iran. Iran attacks us and others in the Middle East. American die, Iranians die including children, people from a variety of countries also die. The price of oil goes up very quickly increasing costs to Americans. Trump asks other countries for support and they tell him basically to go F himself. Beyond Stupid.

It is estimated that about 45,000 working age Americans die annually because they do not have health insurance. MAGA Republicans voted down health care subsidies saving an estimated $30-50 Billion in annual federal spendings. The war with Iran cost about $12 Billion in the first two weeks and it estimated it will cost about a Billion daily going forward. So Maga Republicans don’t believe in providing health care, but do believe in starting a war which will likely cost much much more than health care would have. cost. Stupid and unethical.

A country that reduces food benefits for the working poor and children especially children has no moral base. Stupid and immoral.

There is a partial government shutdown which among other things means TSA workers are expected to show up for their jobs, but not get paid. Democrats support funding TSA along with other agencies but draw the line at funding ICE. ICE was responsible for 25 deaths in 2025 and is on pace to surpass that number in 2026 including two Minneapolis residents who were murdered by ICE agents. They terrorized Americans including children in multiple US citizens. Over 70% of individuals detained by ICE had no criminal record. ICE is not only attacking US citizens without impunity but also incredibly incompetent at doing their job. Look at ICE detainee under Obama versus Trump. More arrests, brutalizing US citizens. Reublicans support ICE. Stupid, incompetent and immoral.

I doubt if the head of the FBI could get a job as a part-time mall cop. The former head of DHS called the Minneapolis shooting victims domestic terrorists. Those were a few of her many lies. The head of the CDC has no medical background, thinks vaccines are a hoax, and is cutting staff of well-qualified educated experienced individuals and replacing them with incompetent individuals like himself. This could affect the health of Americans for years to come. The head of the Department of Education wants to eliminate the Department. Public education is one of the foundations of the growth of America and she wants to end it. When village idiots are made directors of important agencies that means the leader is the top village idiot. Wow, stupid.

In his first Administration Trump increased the deficit by almost $8 Trillion. He is on pace to surpass that. In 1988 the top 1% owned 23% of the US net worth. Now it’s about 32%. And Republicans have continually practiced borrow and spend policies along with cutting taxes for the very wealthy. The rich get richer, the debt gets bigger, the poor and middle class do worse. That is an economic policy doomed to failure. It’s financially stupid.

Republicans are trying to pass the “Save America Act” which will make it much more difficult if not impossible for millions of Americans to vote which is their constitutional rights. As has been verified in multiple studies, the amount of voter fraud in multiple National elections is very very rare. That idea that Biden stole the 2020 election for Trump is an outright lie. The “Save America Act” is actually an attempt to keep millions of Americans from voting and will especially hit women and minorities. It is the opposite of democracy and the beginning of dictatorship. It also means that Republicans cannot run on their records so they have to cheat to win. Stupid, dangerous, and anti-democratic.

Let’s be clear, everybody does stupid stuff at one point or another in their lives. I certainly have. Democrats, Republicans and Independents [I’m an Independent] all have stupid moments at one time or another. But the level of bad decisions this Administration has made is unparalleled in our history. In the upcoming election each person has a decision to make, to continue to support really bad policies in a number of different areas, or vote for literally anyone except a MAGA Republican. Vote for smart, not continuing stupid.
